Fertility Status of Soil and Nutrients Content of Spring Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) as Influenced by Gypsum, Nitrogen and Phosphorus Application

The field investigation was carried out for two years at the Students’ Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during spring season 2018 and 2019. experiment laid in a split plot design with four levels gypsum (0, 125, 175 225 kg ha-1) combination application stages (full sowing 50 % + flower initiation stage) main three nitrogen phosphorus (15 N ha-1 20 P2O5 ha-1, 25 30 35 40 sub-plot. Application resulted maximum kernel N, P, K S concentration haulm P concentration, which statistically par 125 gypsum, while significantly higher than control. Split recorded non-significant results on K, Ca both year. except lower dose. Soil characteristics such as pH, EC organic carbon analysed after harvest crop were non-significantly affected by different levels, stage years. Available soil highest over calcium sulphur levels. nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, stages. other phosphorus. applied splits pod yield groundnut.
